Use Opacus

Pay with Opacus, on a website

One line of HTML puts a button on your shop's page. Your customer pays privately and comes back with a receipt you can check.

Making the button

In the app, choose Receive, then Website. Pick the asset, type the price and the order or product, and, if you like, the page your customer should come back to after paying (it must start with https://). Then Copy the button's code, or Copy it as a link to use the payment link on its own.

What the code looks like

Paste the line where the button should be on your page:

<script src="https://app.opacus.tech/pay-button.js"
  data-to="opacus1..." data-asset="tUSD" data-amount="25"
  data-memo="Order 1042" data-back="https://your-shop.example/thanks"></script>

The script draws a "Pay with Opacus" button and does nothing else: it talks to no server, and it sends nothing about your visitors anywhere. The button opens the payment in Opacus, where your customer pays from their own private balance.

When your customer comes back

With a page to come back to, your customer returns there after paying, with the payment's receipt in the address: ?opacus_receipt=.... Before you ship:

  1. Check the receipt. Open https://app.opacus.tech/receipt# followed by the receipt: the page checks it against the pool and shows the payment, to your address, with its asset and amount. A receipt changed in any way matches nothing.
  2. Take each receipt once. A receipt shows a payment that happened. Keep the ones you have taken, so the same one cannot be used twice.

The page to come back to is your choice, and your customer's app shows it apart from who is paid, so they know where they will land.

What is public

Nothing of the payment: it is a private payment inside the pool, like any other. Your customer's balance and wallet stay theirs, and you learn only that you were paid, how much, and what the receipt shows. Your Opacus address is in the button, as it is in any request you send.
